How long in hours should it take a competent suspension specialist to remove 4 rear lateral arms, and then install new ones, on a Gen4?

I'm having a fair amount of suspension work being done and I'm concerned that the job is taking longer than I expected.

On a hoist no more than 1.5 hours if nothing needs to be modified

On the floor add at least 30-45 mins to that.

Im getting Shockworks coilovers installed and the stock sways reinstalled, if that makes any difference.

All of that would be a 1 day job including a wheel alignment. Hasn't your car been there since Friday? Surely they haven't taken 2 full days to install your shocks...

Mine was about 4 w/ less installs, it was spot on too

Yes, it's been there since Friday. I suspect that they have not been working on it non stop as their workshop was full to the brim with customer's cars due to the lead up to Xmas wit everyone wanting their car done etc, and they are doing a bit of one before moving to the next, although that shouldn't be an excuse. I had a rough quote for labour, so I'll be asking for an explanation if the final cost is considerably different.....

I've had my car there twice before when I had Teins, Wheelpower Bilsteins, aftermarket front and rear underbody braces and aftermarket sways front and rear fitted, plus alignment and that all took a day and a bit.

Second time was to just replace the Teins with Epic springs + alignment. Car was picked up same day.

This time its Shockworks, engine bay brace, return to OEM sways, the rear arms + alignment. The front and rear underbody braces remain. Given the responses below, I would have expected a day and a bit at the most if they were consistently working on the car. If's it not ready Tuesday, I'm not going to be very happy.

Please define "spot on"? Did you get a photo of the scales? Was it weighed with full tank? Half tank? How much do you weigh? How much does Ralph weigh? How many things have you changed on the car since the adjustment?

You have to take their word for it and hopefully use a service with a reputation to uphold.
I didn't touch their settings for quite a while as I was happy with the handling.
I did add a front swaybar a couple of months later, and raised the rear a little.
Now I'm back to stock sways on Shockworks it will go back to Pedders ringwood for another alignment to your recommendation but probably with zero toe f&r.

I would recommend slight toe out at the front, and toe in at the rear. 0 toe makes it float like a boat

Car was ready today (Tuesday). Boot crammed with old suspension parts + traffic + short distance home = not enough to pprovide a detailed report, although first impressions regarding ride are very favourable.
