Gen 4 suspension compatible with 08 wrx?

Postby shav » Tue Nov 18, 2014 4:12 pm

Hey guys,

I read somewhere that the Gen 4 MY07 suspension such as shocks and springs are interchangeable/compatible with the MY08+ WRX. Can anyone confirm this?
Cheers

Fronts yes, rears need lower eyelet modded/widened and maybe clearance mods or swap to upper mount.
Not impossible. But no for 08+ STi...

Thanks Ben, so if I got front and rear parts to suit a wrx but was to fit it to my car, are you saying that all that would need to be done is some slight modifications to the rear eyelets?

Yes the lower bolts are larger diameter on the rear Wrx suspension iirc or vice versa.
Rear top mounts may need swapping out or trimming too...

What's your evil plan? I was close to doing same but Shockworks FTW :P

Just looking at expanding my options rather than limiting myself to lib specific purchases.
