Looking at investing in a set of track tyres and wheels. need your input

In relation to tyres i have used rt 615 on hill climb car before, but hill climb is alot different to track racing.

Light weight wheels........ whats out there.

Get yourself a secondhand set of MY02 to 05 WRX STi 17's and put some Bridgestone RE55s tyres on them. Your better off with 17" rims as there is a better range of track rubber available. Also the STi rims are wider so you can put 225 40 17's on them, there is a huge choice in that size.

Bridgestone RE55's. Unlike a slick tyre they are street legal, although you wouldn't want to use them in the wet + being pretty soft they wouldn't last long on the street (waste of money). People I know who run them at the track say they are miles better than any normal street tyre, RT 615's included.
