Gen V - Strut bar and keyless entry range

Postby ilib11 » Fri May 23, 2014 7:19 pm

Hi All,

I installed a Whiteline front strut bar to my Liberty wagon and immediately it reduced a range from which the keyless entry remote works. The distance the keys work reduced in 5-10 times. I need to keep pressing the open or close button at the key and find a point around the car where it works. Especially if I approach the car from its front side.

I installed the bar myself and sure I did not break any of the wires under the hood - that was an easy and straightforward installation.
I thought that a battery in the remote might be an issue but another key works the same way. I changed the batteries but that did not help.

Has anyone have the same problem? Any ideas what hapenned? Where is the keyless entry antenna in the 2011 Liberty?
