Thats the angle you are seeing it at. I think its low enough, I may go a bit lower in the front, but am waiting for the springs to settle first. Heres another pic taken hastily this morning before I left for work.

Less pictures more jump pictures over camber crests at crossroads and shit.

My one regret was not getting any shots of the wagon at full droop airborne.

Here is a picture of the STi centers caps in the XXR 527 bore. The original STi center caps are a smaller diameter than the XXR hub bore diameter. I had custom billet inserts made to sit inside the XXR bore so that the STi center caps can sit flush. So much better than those ridiculous XXR plastic center caps that come with the rims.

tough looking.

Can you please take a shot at bonnet height from directly behind the car where you can see the tyres touching the road?

Put a sticker on the rear windscreen that says 'Got tread?' ....hahah

Guys its been a long time since I posted an update to this work in progress. Excuse the crap photos, its a cloudy day here, so wasn't worth taking the car out. I originally bought very sticky Proxes Toyo R1R's (245/40/18) and whilst they were awesome for outright performance, they didn't give me the look I was after, so I put a set of Toyo Proxes T1R 235/30/18's on the XXR 527s. The wheel looks quite under tyred now and was sitting far too high. I dropped the car by 50mm all around and changed the camber back to a friendly 1.7 degrees negative.

I am very pleased with the look of the car now, the offset and guard work is close to perfect. I don't want to go any lower as this would be illegal and not be that friendly in day to day driving.

I have or two more modifications to go, then I will take some decent photos.

Car is booked for the dyno next month, will post results when I have them.

Personally I think the previous setup looked better - the new setup is a bit too thin, like something is missing.

And with stretch like that, you've reduced your straight-line acceleration (no flex available on the sidewall) and creates its own legality issues if you're really concerned about that.

Each to their own of course.
I was going to procrastinate, but I put it off...

Holy crap those tyres are way too skinny. Should have at least gone with 35 side walls

Previous types looked way tougher.... just my opinion though.

I agree with the above statements. The new tyres IMO look too skinny, painfully (for me) so - when compared to the old 40's you had. On their own I'm sure they look great, but in comparison the 40's fill up those guards very well. Why not 35s?
