My wife disagrees, then gets mad when I go ahead anyway..but the moment she gets in the car and watches me smash an LS3 GTS, the smile comes straight back.

WOW!
Loving +2 front, +4 rear.
Already a big improvement over zero damping lol.
That really syrupy planted feeling is starting to emerge.
I'll force myself to enjoy those settings for at least a week before adding another 2 clicks f&r :)

Boostaddict on here installed coilovers and slammed his car and his wife didn't even realise lol

My wife either failed to notice the VF52/3" exhaust/STI mufflers/tune, or just chose to say nothing. She doesn't drive the car that often, and tends to drive it in "I" mode anyway (I always finish a drive in "I" mode as part of my post-drive "cooldown" procedure).

Within a minute of getting in the car after I put on the DAMD steering wheel though, I got a call "What have you done to the steering wheel?".

The ride on the stock Bilsteins is getting pretty rough (it'd be worse if I still had the stock wheels). I'm pretty sure she'll notice the Shockworx once they go on...

After a week of having shockworks installed I can easily say its one of the best choices I could have made in regards to suspension choices.

From the initial impression leaving the workshop I could feel the difference already. Coming from STI Pinks and Bilsteins the ride quality on the softest dampness almost matches the STI/Bisltein setup but it had more control. Whilst driving you can feel the cars action in a way that you would want to know and you can judge the car a lot more now without any unexpected behaviour, cornering and straight line driving - you can feel the car planted firm with minimal body roll (still on the softest damnpness) have yet to increase this.

Going over bumps and tram tracks etc being Melbourne it tackles these with ease no harsh jumps or bumps - even as a replacement of shocks and springs moving to Shockworks you retain that comfort but you have the whole option of moving it up the dampness levels to suit your track or circuit needs.

It has been stated before but its not recommended for people who are after Stance or Slammed looks as it needs to sit at a reasonable height in order for the shocks to travel properly to provide the full benefit of the coilovers

All these great reviews are killing me!!! Bloody post man best hurry up and get them in my hands shortly!!!

Quick question Owen.
I was hoping to do the physical install myself and then drive to get them properly set-up by my mechanic.
Will they arrive in such a way that i can do this with minimal personal adjustment and safely drive?
Or is it best to just spend the coin and get them installed professionally from scratch?

Cheers,
Ian

Please, please, please. I implore you to hand them to a suspension specialist near you to get them to install them following these instructions.

Haha no worries Owen.

I was planning on following the MCA write-up to the tee myself, then just getting a final once over from my suspension shop with any final tweaking they feel is needed.

I suppose a decent suspension place that knows what they are doing with correct tools, could do it in a quarter of the time I could anyways  Saves me a lot of swearing and worries if they do it also!

Yay! Mine were waiting for me at the front door when I got home this arvo! On the downside I am out of town for the next 10 days for work so the install is gonna have to wait....

Owen, I have installed the Whiteside LCA bushes already and everything else is still stock and plan on leaving the standard swaybars as per your advice but when I get the Shockworks installed should I upgrade any of the other bushes or links etc at the same time?

Cheers
Azza.

I haven't received mine... Typical NT though

Edit: Got a call from Brett and he got them to deliver them today! For toll IPEC in the NT that is seriously a record. I've had deliveries that sat in their warehouse for 8 weeks. Very very impressed. Brett was also a great guy to talk to. 10/10 would buy again and I haven't even installed them.

Lol. Brett said he made the call  . Thanks so much Owen :D :good:

I haven't had too much trouble elsewhere but in Darwin they're an incompetent bunch of lazy fucks. So glad I didn't have to drive out to the warehouse.
