The insurance company should be sorting that out then.
This is the first I've ever heard of someone needing a VIN to buy the STi Enkies though.

Sorry I couldn't be any further help.

Its my Repairer ordering the part direct from Subaru and they apparently cant look up any parts without a VIN number. SO naturally they have used my VIN number to look it up and it only comes up with the 17" wheels the GT came standard with. Which is annoying as even though the wheels aren't standard, they are listed on insurance and they have agreed to replace it. But they cant order it as they cant get a part number without a VIN. I am going to ring around Subaru Dealers to see if they can find it for me.

I have part number off Japanparts.com = ST28100ZR000

not sure if that correlates at Subaru.

This is not in anyway a dodgie attempt at stealing a VIN.

Even if someone has 5 minutes to spare and can ring a subaru dealership and get them to find the part number I would be forever happy. :)

A quick google shows that ST28100ZR000 is the correct part number. The STi Japan website has it listed, Key subaru dealership in townsville's shows them for sale under that number, same with subarucity.com.au.

Seems that the person the repairer is dealing with at subaru is just being lazy. I had the same problem when the repairer of my car was trying to source a side skirt.

Unfortunately I have rung for getting quotes on very petty little things for my car stating it's a "BP 2008 Liberty Tuned by STi Wagon" and stated the exact part I require and they wouldn't tell me squat without my vin.

I know my car and what it needs, just tell me the price!

End rant haha. Hope it all gets sorted out mate :good:
