Brake Noise Question

Postby BillyCorgi » Sat Mar 15, 2014 4:33 pm

So I've got an MY05 3.0R-B wagon with now just over 121,000km. Bought it last June with 114,000.

Since I have had it the front brake pads have a made a disturbing "graunch" noise when they are warm.
Wash off speed coming to a stop and for the last little bit "graunch"

The discs are perfect, measured square and faces in great condition.
The pads have plenty of friction material remaining.
The pads have the Subaru logo on them if they have been replaced by the original owner they have been replaced with what appears to be original equipment parts.
After a thorough inspection the brakes have been put back together and back into service.
I cannot locate anything doing damage associated with the noise?

Any other owners experienced similar noised with the standard front brake set up?
