07 Liberty - Clunk from front right of car SOMETIMES

Hey all,

Long time reader first time member/poster.

In the last 5 or so days maybe 4 times (usually on a cold take off, slightly uphill and turning) there is a clunk like noise from the front right of the car. I'm assuming it's somewhere around the wheel, I haven't had the chance to put it up on stands and poke about (I'll do that on the weekend). I just wanted to check here if there were any known issues down there that would result in this kind of thing so I can perhaps check and get parts before getting stuck in on the weekend.

I want to stress this is not an all the time thing. It only happens once a trip or so, I have not had long to work out how often and test it. It's almost like something clunks into place then it's fine for the rest of the trip.

Background:

2007 Liberty Sedan.
Eng and Drive-train are stock.
140,000 km.
Serviced and new pads not too long ago.
Wheels and tires are in good condition.

Thanks in advance!

James.

There is a thread about this issue at the moment. My answer is to read through it all and do a process of elimination with all the information found about it. Looks like a common problem with the Gen4 07 models though.
