Just after some feedback on the various coilover kits that are on the market.

I've been looking into the following kits:
- Cusco Zero-2E (with e-con)
- Tein Type Flex / Mono Flex
- HKS Hipermax III

Any others that i should consider?

Experiences both on street and circuit?

Prices?

Cheers
Daniel

Not sure yet, as it all depends on how low the MY08 Liberty STI is from factory.

Plus, i will be looking at putting a set of 19's under the guards at some point (but i will use 18's for the track).

Cheers
Daniel

I tried dividing it up into groups. some could probably fall into both groups. oh wellz. They are all pretty similar in terms of feel.

All have pre load adjustment.

For daily spirited driving
Tein Flex spring rates front 6k rear 6k Cheapest out of all of them. good value for money. Twin valve design. controller can be used.
HKS Hipermax 3 spring rates front 4k rear 6kg One of more expensive. slight softer front, feel the bumps a little less. Mono valve design. no controller.
Cusco zero 2e similar priced to Hipermax 3, twin valve design, controller available. 8kg front 6kg rear (off the top of my head, i have to check).

For daily driving and occasional track work.
Tein Mono Flex One of more expensive mono valve design. controller can be used. 7kg front 6kg rear. great if you want to very low.

I recommend the Japanese brand and even the german branded KW coilovers over Ksport any day of the week.

Better support, more research into their products.

Tein coilovers are not much more that k-sport.

Some incident and comments from
http://www.canberracruises.com/forum/sh ... php?t=6231

"I recently purchased a set of k-sport adjustables from the usa directly from k-sport.
There are the worst company to deal with worst cusomter, service, i sent them the money and i took them 1 month to even arrange a courier to pick up the package, this is after callin them numerous time and email them.
They are fu#$kin hopless

Dont even buy ne thing from them,
Ksport can go f^#k themelseves !"

K-sport incident. not sure what happened here, probably drifting and hit a curb but still... i'm sure the japanese brands would have been throughly tested for incidents like this.

Well, I guess it all depends on how hard you drive the car.....the K-Sport Coilovers suits me fine and the ride is good.

But then again, my car only does daily street driving and no track work as it is an N/A version. So, I guess to serve for that purpose, I say that K-sport is an excellent value for money!!

also on second look, I don't think those are K-sport coilovers in the pic as they are of different colours!!! Looks like G4 or D2 Coilovers!!

u can get SS for around 1800 for jap spec and 1900-2000 for Aus spec

I would reccomend the Cusco 2E with ECON

I just ordered a set for a customer and WOW.. very nice indead

HKS is also a good set

Or if u are o a budget the BC Coilovers are really good.. They are the actualy manufacture and make some of the big name Jap coilovers for them eg Greddy..

Some of the quickest WRXs in NSW are running BC and think they are awsome.. and there is a choice of different spring rates..
they are only 1490
