Hey all,
Time for new rims and I searched this site but couldn't find much on Work - Emotion XD9 rims.
I have BC racing coil overs currently installed.
Has anyone ever tried these rims?
I am considering 18 X 9.0 - 5-100 +38 or +43. I have seen most people either run 18 X 8.0 +45 or 18 X 8.5 +45, so I think with a bit of guard rolling I should be able to fit 18 X 9.0 +38 or +43.
Thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Xd9's are definitely good looking JDM wheels.
18x9 +38 will look awesome but +43 will still look good. +43 will stick out 5mm less.
You will need to roll your guards and run slight camber depending on your height.

If you don't mind 17's rather than 18's, mark is selling a set atm.
Check the for sale section.

Exactly what look are you after?
I see no issue with the mentioned wheels fitting in either offset, with a bit of camber and a bit of stretch on your tyres that is. And obviously guards rolled.

Thanks for all the quick replies!
I want to stick with 18's sorry blacktop.
I don't want the look where the rim is sticking way past the guard and the tyre is massively stretched. I am after a flush look. I also don't want the fronts scrubbing all the time as too many of my mates supra/chaser have this issue and the cars become barely driveable.
I thought +43 as it would bring it flusher with the guard but 5mm is nothing.
I've just seen all the posts on XXR 18x8.75 and all the issues so I am a bit concerned.

18x8 +48 235/40 tyre is almost exactly the limit (stock camber) for the rear of a sedan. Rolling and whatever light guard work might give you an extra 12mm? That would allow a 18x9 +48 to fit, so you'd be looking for an extra 5-10mm in either a stretched tyre or camber.

Will the XD9 with lip and pushed in center clear stock brakes?
Probably a stupid question!

Wheels ordered in matte black. Will post photos once they arrive and I've bought some rubber for the bad boys and fitted them.

What size and offset man? Was also looking into the same wheel size eventually when funds allow.
Look forward to pics

18 x 9.0 +38. Going to run a 235/40/18. Going to be a challenge but should be fun.

I would be going 225 if I were you, to make them fit a little easier. But 235's will still look the part. Post up some pics when they're on
