RSR vs Tein vs eibach GEN V GT

Postby jmpin » Thu Sep 19, 2013 11:26 pm

Hi All i wanted to ask if any one has fitted RSR springs and if they where happy with them... as im trying to decide if RSR, Tein or Eibach is the way to go on my Gen V GT wagon, its a family car so im only really wanting to lower for a bit better look, ive had cars in the past that have had tyre in the guards (which look great) but im not wanting anything like that, just a spring that will be close to the standard spring rate just a bit lower.
RSR's are cheaper in country, Tein is a international brand and so is eibach.

RSR lowers 35-40mm all round
Tein 30-35mm all round
eibach 25mm all round (which i dont think is enought to worry about)

cheers

Im currently running RSR springs. I have also had Tein S tech's before. All on a Gen4 though.

I found the S tech's had "bum sag" in the wagon being 6mm lower than the front. The RSR's have the front 10mm lower and it looks a lot better.

does anyone know the standard spring rates on the GT's?

i think the Tein High techs coils are 3.3kg and the RSR's are 3.6kg.

so you would say get the RSR's then???

i had a gen 4 with king springs and it rode really bouncy... but cornered really flat.... how is yours with either the old teins or now the RSR's?

I prefer the RSR springs over the Teins. Ride quality from what I remember with the Tein's is about the same but the ride height is perfect with the RSR's.

Hey mate,

How did the RSR's go? I'm in a similar situation as you - love to know and see how the RSR's are in a 5th Gen Wagon!

Cheers!

don't know how to upload HD pics as they are to large of a file size.... but you get the idea.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but just wondering, can someone find me a link to buy those RSRs?

You can buy them from 88 garage... That's where I got them. I'm happy with the ride still

While the thread is back up - I ended up going STi springs - happy with the ride... wish it was lower, but as it is the STi lip just scrapes in/out of the garage and at the local shops :(

We'll have to get the GEN V's out together sometime - I've been busy for any gen Liberty meets that have been org. in Syd so far :/
