Strut top covers?

Hey guys,

This might sound like a silly question, but you know how oem strut tops have that rubbery looking thing that sticks out at the top and you can see it in the engine bay? Is there such a thing as like a cover or cap that covers camber tops to look like those? hahah. Just for the stealth, might not fool 100% of cops but it might help, right?

I like them. I had a set on my Foz.

Not sure if they made them for the Liberty sized strut though.

They look like this:

I remember seeing some kind of floating mount in an Impreza mag over here in Japan. I'll have a look when I get home this arvo.

Mark has some on his Gen2

Not sure if they fit Gen4.. If your coilovers are damper adjustable they may not fit either..

As far as I know, Gen 1, 2,3 Lib and the SF5 and SG9 Foz all have the same sized strut top bolt pattern. The ones I had on the Foz were identical to Mark's ones.

The Gen 4 Libs have larger spaces between the studs on the strut top so they definitely won't fit...otherwise I would have taken them off the Foz and put them on the Lib.

Not sure about those SVX ones...they just look odd. They look like rear ones anyway...

But do they fit over coilovers?

Unlikely if you keep the damper adjusting knobs in....I can have a definite answer on the 28th (if anyone cares to wait that long lol)

I've seen people just buy a thin sheet of rubber from clarks and bolt it under the strut brace. Cut off the excess and you're done!
e.g. Image
