Control Arm Bushing Help

Hey guys,
Can someone please point me in the right direction with LCA bushings?

Im bamboozled... i know its the rear LCA bushing that people update... but whiteline has inner, outer or both. Do i just want inner? Would someone be able to post the part number for a liberty wagon please?

Most people do the front one actually!

If that's what you're talking about, jspeed one is recommended!

Yeah my front ones are cracked and i know they go on the libertys.

So its not worth replacing the rears as well?

The main reason people do the fronts and not the rears is because you steer with the front

If you are going to track your car like crazy then you can replace every single bush on the car if you want, but if you are going bang for buck just do the front.

For the front LCA (because there's no such thing as rear LCA on Gen 4s), if you're looking at the Whiteline catalogue, you want the Anti-lift kit. KCA334

Although, while the LCA's are out, you might as well do both and get the W0506 as well.

Really? Whiteline have a rear LCA bushing for our model on their website. Glad i didnt buy it then!

Ive been told to avoid the anti-lift kit as it can have a negative effect on handling... dont shoot the messenger if that offends someone

I just checked what they were talking about. What Whiteline calls rear control arms is actually called lateral links and upper links by Subaru

I have the ALK (and front bushings at the same time) installed in mine to replace the worn out bushes and I wanted more castor. I didn't notice any negative effects. Having said that, the difference I noticed is that it feels 100x better than the worn out bushes which used to be in its place, didn't really compare anything handling wise under extreme driving conditions.

My front/rears are worn. Let me know how much it sets you back.
Seeing as it all has to get pulled apart i was thinking about doing the LCA's, front and rear bushes all at the same time.
Pedders quoted me $450 just for the rear bushes replaced, inc. a full wheel alignment at the end.

What's the difference parts wise between and anti lift kit and the J-speed bushes? My understanding both are just replacements for the same bush?

AFAIK, J-speed bushes are slightly stiffer but aren't caster adjustable.

I've also gone the whiteline path.

I have the ALK and the front lca bushes plus the bump steer correction kit.

Turn in is just fantastic

Made little to fuck all difference to anything!! Except fix the farked bush it replaced!!!


Sorta wish I went the white line one , hearing above that they are adjustable!!


The J speed were like $220-250....... They will last 100k easy tho... Much better quality!!

I have the Whiteline KCA334 anti lift kit and it's noisy as fark.. I'm changing them for the Jspeed bushes eventually.
