Front Struts MY07-MY09 3.0R

I have also posted this in the Wanted to Buy section. I am looking for original front struts complete with springs from a MY07 to MY09 3.0R, NOT Bilsteins. Anyone fitted coilovers and don't know what to do with the old struts? I'm in Brisbane so a local would be easier.

Thanks

Silly question but why no billies?
the ride quality of the KYB's is actually harsher than the billies.

Rob
I'm planning to set them up with Konis and a spring mod, then it is a simple change-over without the car being off the road for any length of time. The Konis use the KYB strut with the damper removed and an insert fitted.

Rightyo.
Good setup.

What springs you going with?
And what are the inserts worth?

And you won't need 3.0 specific or any gen4 for that matter
WRX forester, other gen lib's, etc will all go in

The struts are all the same but the springs vary. I need the same springs as mine to measure and check the rate. King Springs are just down the road (about 45 minutes) but they don't have the spring data for the 3.0R. I have been through this process before with a little Alfa Sprint, including the Konis.

Best price so far on the Konis is $276 each front and $246 each rear including GST.

Cheers

you could buy a cheap set of billies and have them rebuilt and re-valved for that

here's some info from Heasemans i posted before
Cost of a re build and re valve for the fronts is $660 a pair.
And for the rear it is $440,
but some of the rears in that model differ from others, and only some can be re-built.
If they are the non-rebuildable ones, then cost of a new pair of re buildable ones is $550 for a pair and then $220 for the re rate.

But if you're happy with the original valving then it's about $220 per pair cheaaper

Doing the koni way seems like a reasonable amount of work to simply make a set of struts the same as what's available already.
you could probably remove the factory Bilstein inserts and just drop teh Koni's into a Billie housing as they are already an Inverted Monotube design.
