Will they fit a GT Gen V?

Postby imoo6170 » Wed Jul 17, 2013 9:40 pm

Hi, I have a stock 2010 GT (18x7.5 with 225/45/18s) and am looking at getting a set of 18x8's with 245/45/18s on. Appreciate thoughts on whether they will fit or will rub.

Plan on trying them out on Sat but thought I would see what the general thoughts were.

I have checked out the tyre size calculator and realise they are a bit out nut not enough to worry about.

245 is too big and sticking to the same profile is far too tall.

235/40/18.

You can fit rims as big as 20x9.5 with the right offset.. about +38 and 265 wide tyres. What Cruisn said is right, 245 is way too wide for an 8 inch wheel.

edit: my bad, you may run into issues if you dont have aftermarket coilovers. The rim will hit the spring perch on standard or Bilstein suspension.

Thanks for the replies.

I ended up going for 18 x 8's with 235/40/18's.
