Camber bolts

Postby SubMeister » Sun Jul 14, 2013 2:22 pm

Have been advised by Trutrack to change the stock front camber bolt to dial in a bit more camber. Seeking some input from those who've gone down this path.

Exhibit A - Whiteline camber bolt $63 + $10 postage http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/190747475417?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Exhibit B - Eibach camber bolt at half the price http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/181154193302?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Exhibit C - H&R camber bolt - not sure about price but doesn't have tabs, and will dial in up to 3 degrees plus / minus vs the above two at 2 degrees plus/minus http://www.hrsprings.com/products/triple-c/

Q1: Are the Eibach bolts just as good as the Whitelines?

Q2: How fragile are those tabs? Meaning, should one just pony up for the H&Rs?

This is for a stock street set up. I want a crisper front end but no increase in NVH, so Trutrack advised this as a simple bang for buck upgrade.

Can't really help with the question other than to say EIBACH usually make good bit of kit.

However the h&r's look the goods with full adjustment up to 3.0 degrees which is quite impressive

I will say kudos to you for finding these as I tried finding front camber bolts for a gen4 about a month ago and failed.

Good luck

Still stock height Maurice?

You can get -1.25 out of the oem bolts. Why would you need more for daily commuting?

I'm using the OE camber bolt in the top hole and the eibach camber bolt in the bottom hole. Trutrack have been able to get -3deg with that setup. I have been using the eibach camber bolts for 6yrs and just recently i broke one of the locking tabs when installing my revalved bilstiens.

The h&r kit looks pretty good.

Talk to Adam at tuspeed, he vic local and can get which ever one you choose.

Yeah Mark, still stock height all around. Trutrack advised that the best bang for buck upgrade to dial out some (not all) of the factory understeer was a Whiteline rear bar and negative two degrees camber up front, that's what the lower bolt is for.

Gino, thanks for the Tuspeed tip. Sounds like you got the same advice from Trutrack, what's your setup?

Factory sways and aggressive camber and toe settings. I like my steering to be sharp.
