I have been looking for new front shocks for my 08/09 Liberty Sedan. I have emailed KYB and they said that they do not do one for that model. I thought that the 2004-2009 BL BP models would all use the same shocks? I have found KYB's for 2007 models. Also besides KYB what are other good standrad shock replacements that people recommend?

All suspension for MY04-MY09 are the same - KYB. Apart from the Spec.B which has Bilsteins.

I am also lead to believe that the wagons have different rear springs (due to a tad extra weight) but that's only what I've read.

Bilsteins are always a good option - can be had for around the $400ish mark second hand for a set incl springs. Km's depending..

Koni make replacements as well. If you can afford it the damper adjustable ones are worth it.

If you're buying new you might as well just get coilovers - if you're that way inclined.

My only problem is which coil-overs? The STi springs are softer up front but every coil-over set has it harder up front...
