Anyone filled their arches with more rubber?
Was thinking of an interim way to remove gap between tyre and arch apart from lowering and also with a small drop later.
Was curious to what 215/55/17 or 225/55/17 would look like...make the car look like a pitbull!!
Any thoughts apart from tractor / pictures..
umm
Jim.

In NSW you can only change your rolling diameter by +/- 15mm
215/45/17 625.3mm stock
So 610.3mm-640.3mm
215/55/17 668.3mm - 7% speedo error - 21.5mm ride height gain & arch gap loss
225/55/17 679.3mm - 8% speedo error - 27mm ride height gain & arch gap loss

Is it bad for the car in any way to run larger or smaller diameter than stock?

Not really.... your gear ratios will be slightly higher which makes it harder to get a good launch without breaking things

http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.p ... -4426.html50 or 55 is the max before the tyres are too big for the guards & liners iirc.

Going to the next profile in tyre generally makes your speedo more accurate as they always read under from the factory.
Ive gone a wheel size up and maintained the profile running 215/45/18's on my GT and the oem spec tyre is 215/45/17.
Legal, roadworthy and the speedo is near dead on accurate now.
