So I've tried to search as much as possible regarding these springs including going through the 12 pages that come up under 'bilstein + springs' in the search tool but can't find what im looking for.

To start, I am looking to upgrade the springs on my Pre-FL Liberty GT which i've already installed the $550 bilstein combo from Wheelpower. They were a huge improvement over my standard KYB set up but I noticed that the front end seemed a little high for my liking. I've double checked against the service manual on the Spec B and it is within wheel arch height (including tolerances).

I've been told that Eibach no longer make springs for the Gen4 so I was looking at either H&R or STI Pink springs. I've considered the Tein S-Techs (even Phat GT's version) but I'm hesitant about the harsh ride that some people are suggesting.

So my question is, have any of you Pre-FL Liberty GT owners installed either of the 2 on a Bilstein strut and how did it go? Looking for ride quality and lowering measurements. I've had mixed reviews about both springs but can't make up which one to get.

Otherwise should anybody have any suggestions, please feel free to let me know and reasons why.

Ideally looking for something that will lower the car while retaining the ride quality. I know that going lower and firmer will inevitably change but im just after the best combo from people who have experience with them.

King Springs are also an option

I've got the kings but after sitting in my mate's car a few times I kind of prefer his s tech setup.. Can't put a finger on why but just seems to ride better?

same shocks and same condition?

also are you able to record any hub to guard measurements of your mates car?

Because King springs are designed and priced for people who like to look at their cars.
Other companies such as Tein or H&R or Eibach have engineered their suspension components for people who drive their car.

That's why their are more V8 super cars with springs made by kings than others.

I believe in the coming months when I fine tune the front part number... It will be a good choice and another alternative to choose from

The stupid low springs that are available have been made due to popular demand

Have considered the Kings as well but still thinking of H&R or STI's atm

can tell you that you MIGHT be able to find eibach springs on ebay. I got eibach springs on my JDM bilsteins and I love it. ride height is great and performance is by far on the same level as my friends with cuscos and bc coilovers

hey tommy, any idea what the part number is for the eibachs?

Because the category rules spec that's what they have to use.
And if they were "off the shelf" springs it would give some credibility.

I Had standard WRX height kings in my Legacy on STi Struts and it was dogsh!t to drive.
the springs were not a progressive rate so they were far too hard when moving slowly.
Swithched back to the STi black springs, great ride and better handling as the tyres were allowed to grip with a more suitable spring rate

so it looks like the eibach part number is 7716.140 but i couldn't find anything on ebay. Theres a couple of sites from the US that apparently have them but I haven't checked out how much the shipping costs.

only deterrant is that eibach no longer manufacture these springs so it'll be old stock if you can find them.

at the moment looking for H&R springs. Still keen on any feedback from anybody who has used these.

Otherwise let me know what you guys think of the STI Pink springs

I don't have anything to compare them with but the STi pink springs as harsh as I'd ever want to go. I've been happy with their performance on the track, not looking to change them any time soon

Hey Frank,

Did the TBSTI come with STI pinks as standard? If upgraded, how is the wheel arch height on yours?

The specs are showing that the STI pink's are meant to lower by 15mm, anybody here can confirm this is the case on a Pre-FL GT?

Also wondering if either STI or H&R springs will cause the rear to sag?

Was looking at H&R & Eibach with my billies, Called Heasman's.
No luck with either one, Both don't make any springs for the Gen 4's.

So I'm getting S-Techs

Unless you wants a hard riding bum dragging Liberty, I recommend you first consider Swift Springs.

I've been told they are very good by a member or two, and had I tried them and liked them ,I would not be planning to go down the (quality) coilover route that I am now.
