Clunk, Help!

Need you help guys!
Recently I have noticed that there has been a small clunk from the left rear of my 2006 Liberty when going over bumps, etc.
I checked it out this afternoon and noticed I can replicate the same clunk when I push down on the car above the left rear wheel.
What could be causing this?

I only started noticing the noise after picking the car up from the mechanic, after I took the car to the dealer for then to replace the front control arm rear bush as it was torn.
Bought the car 3 weeks ago, and its still under statutory warranty.

Any help appreciated!!!

Check strut is bolted in tightly and swaybar links are tight.

Probably worn out shock.

I am new to the Subaru world, but do these Libertys come standard with Bilstein shocks? And also, if the rear left shock is worn, does all 4 need to be changed?

Depends what model it is re the Bilsteins. How many kms?

If one shock is gone IMO its best to change all as they all have the same km's on them....

The shocks come in pairs, so you would have to at least replace 2. I was quoted about $400 for rear shocks, so I thought I may as well buy some coilovers instead!

Had a quick squiz today and noticed they are Bilsteins.

From my limited knowledge, they appear to be coilovers, as they look similar to pictures I have seen of actual coilovers.
However, my reference of a non-coilover system is something found in a Falcon, where the spring and shock aren't linked...

If however, they aren't coilovers, can you just replace the rears to coilovers, or do you need to change the whole car?

Also, was thinking of taking the car to Pedders for their $14 28-point check to see if they can pinpoint the issue.
I don't mind paying if the check is worthwhile. I am hoping then if something is wrong, I will have evidence for a statutory warranty claim.

Unless the shock has is threaded below the bottom spring seat they are not what we refer to as 'adjustable coilovers'
Technically they are 'coilovers' but not in the sense that we use the word.

Pedders may be able to assist you. DO NOT let them complete any other work than the $14 check. You have been warned. Take their advice (??) and go from there.

Okay well, took it to Pedders for the 28-point check and a number of things were realised

1 - the fuckwit useless as fuck Dealer Mechanic, who recently replaced the rear LCA bush, forgot to put the balljoint bolt back on on one side. Needless to say, I was very lucky that it didnt come apart at speed causing a serious accident.
It is said this is what the clunk noise was, and Pedders replaced the bolt, no sign of clunk anymore.

2 - the rear shocks are worn and need replacing.
