Is it worth rebuilding coilovers?

I purchased a set on the forum and just got around the putting them in, went camping for the weekend and came back to find a puddle of fine oil dripping from my rear passanger..
So i went to get a few quotes and ideas today to see what i should do about it.. is it worth getting a rebuild on the one coilover or is it better to get another set??

Depends how much they cost to rebuild, if the cost to rebuild is near the price of a new set just replace them.

How much were you quoted for the rebuild? If they are pricey coilovers I'd go with the rebuild

Not all coilovers can be re-built….. what have you got?

I put new damper cartridges into a set of BC V1.

http://www.tanabe-usa.com/coilovers.aspI'd look for replacement dampers there, or get rebuilt locally. Should be info on nasioc or LGT etc.
Or check the diameter and thread pitch of the body and shaft - another brand eg. bc v1, br ...
might fit...
