Bigger rims on a Gen 3

Postby stocky » Tue Oct 30, 2012 1:42 pm

Probably a stupid question, but will the 17" stock B4 bbs rims go straight onto an RX? Much difference in offset? Will my speedo be much off?
I'm also considering MG ZT 18" rims, same stud pattern, +50 offset. What do you guys think?
Any info is greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

B4 BBS will fit. same stud's same offset.
with the 18's make sure you get a lower profile tyre. you will probably need a 40% profile. stock RX are 205/50 so with the offset make sure you take into account how wide the rim is plus the offset.
you can always get the guards pumped if it is too wide.
i think from memory subaru run +45? someone correct me there

Thanks heaps for the info so far. :)
The 18's have 225/45 tyres, +50 offset. Will they clear? Or should I roll my guards incase?

well if you want them, then buy them, then put them on and go for a test drive (or you may see immediately that they won't clear) and see if they need rolling.
18's are pretty big, but it also depend on what height your car is. if its stock (which i assume it is) it should be fine until you lower it.
