hey guys! so ive finally got my hands on a set of XXR 527's to fit my06 3.0r-b
the specs are:
front - 18 x 8.75 + 35
rear - 18 x 8.75 + 20
questions is what tyres would you guys recommend to run with these wheels!
ive been reccomended to run 225/40/18 on the fronts and 235/40/18 on the rears?

I would be running 245/35 or 255/35 mate.
I'm 18x8.5 with 245/40/18, only reason I didnt go 245/35/18 is I got my tyres at almost 1/2 of the rrp.
But you do know that the fronts are going to poke out a bit unless you run crazy camber?
Post pics???

.

because we own an AWD shouldnt we keep all 4 tyre sizes the same specs?
ie run 235/40/18 on all 4 corners?
you just dont want to be messing with your diffs, not that 10mm extra width would make that much difference,
but when it comes to spare wheels and rotating your wheels and what not to get even wear out of them...

Keeping tyre specs the same all round is a must.

9.65 inch tyre on an 8.75 inch wheel will give you very slight protectrion from gutters and what not, but its still protection none the less...
personally, id recomment finding out which of the two (
235/40 and
245/40) are the cheaper option

either of the two, but talk to a few people at tyre shops to find out which size is cheaper, then go from there as to which tyre you want

nice choice of wheels! most of the guys in the states run 235/40/18 with that particular wheel.
if you're looking for cheap tyres in Sydney you might want to check out St George Tyres or Tempe Tyres, although I'm not a big fan of Tempe Tyres due of their terrible service.
