Conversion is easy. Remove wheel, remove caliper, disconnect brake line from caliper or car, remove disc. Then put on new rotor, attach new brake line to caliper or car, attach new caliper, bleed brakes until no air is left, put wheel back on. All you need is a basic socket and spanner set. A rubber mallet also helps for undoing the caliper bolts if they're a bit stiff.
Not sure what the cost of GT brakes are as I'm currently doing a Brembo conversion myself however I did a WRX brake conversion on my brothers Impreza RS and it only cost $500 for four calipers and OEM discs included plus $20 in brake fluid. The rest is just your time to do the work.
