Does the sound depend on how hard you are stepping on the brakes? Might be your pads, add some anti-squeal paste to the shims.

I find that they dont squeel when I press hard but under slow braking they squeel. The pads are still in good nic so I know its not them but I was told that I could put a card board template on the back of the pad and that will stop it. Thats coming from someone who had a similar problem on a GTR. Anyone herd of this before.

yes - it's the back of the pad against your caliper that's making the noise. It probably runs a setup which does not have a shim; cardboard could work, or you could just get some anti-squeal paste on the back of the pad to lubricate it against the caliper body.

Yeah i get the annoying squeal too, but only when lightly breaking whilst rolling backwards/reversing.
Where can you find this anti-squeal paste? at any random autobarn type store?

I have that squealing when it's cold, I have to live with it because the DS2000s can't fit in the factory pad shims
Yep, any random automotive shop should have some anti-squeal.

Not to mention embarrassing!

Here I am, trying to look somewhat composed and dignified in front of a crowd of people, and the brakes squeal like a little school girl when I'm reversing out of a parking spot.
Because the only time you associate squealing with braking is on those old clunkers that haven't changed their brake pads since 1958. Makes me look like I'm some sort of negligent owner who doesn't look after my car by letting my brake pads dilapidate to the metal.

i get the same issue only when i first start up the car and brakes are cold.
its because of the endless pads i'm using. awesome when they are warmed up though. feroda 2500s might be the way to go, they do not skeal like a girl when its cold.

Same here, only on light application in reverse.
I love it, sounds tough! Would be annoying if all the time in forward motion.

Stop your whingeing!
If you've got performance brakes and pads, you'll get some squealing - it comes with the territory (not the Ford)
