Subaru Liberty - Snapped Spring??

I have a Subaru Liberty 2.5 2007 model which is as new 40,000kms on the clock which already had 20" rims and the suspension done when I purchased last year. About a month ago I flattened one of the rims in a pothole with all the rain (passenger side rear) and have waited nearled 5 wks for my new Giovanna rims to arrive from Ozzy Tyres.. and still waiting. So at the moment I have 3 20" and 1 stock 17" on my car which is only being driven to and from work. The car is lowered with King Springs at a set height and I've had no problems with this even on long trips. I have now noticed that the drivers side front guard has dropped significantly to the passenger side (even though no noise and it doesnt feel any different to drive). Obviously I am going to take it somewhere after the wkend but just wanting to know if anyone can shed some light on this?? Thanks any help/advice appreciated...

I'd at least compare the different rim and tyre dimensions in a
tyre calculator to see just how different in diameter and speed of the 17" is compared to the 20"s.
From what I've read here, a difference of less than 5% is tolerable between front and back
pairs.
At any rate I'd get the car looked at by a mechanic asap!

Theres no way a 20" tyre will be within spec to the oem 17". Your killing your driveline having one tyre diameter out compared to the rest.
Your killing a Liberty anyway with those awful rims on it.
Theres no way a spring is snapped.

I actually did say ^^ that the rims are being changed.. OZZY TYRES (dont go there) are being extremely unhelpful & I have so far waited over 4 wks for a 2-3wk order.. but the size is actually fine and they have been on the car since 2007.. not by me personally but by the orginal owner. I purchased this just last year.. saw my local Tyreright/Pedders who are great, and the idiot who originally lowered this with Kings didn't change the shocks which has caused the problem.. car's actually perfectly fine and these & the springs have been replaced.

The spring may have come unseated from the strut, I've seen that a few times.

In rolling diameter it can be done. A 225/25R20 will be 5mm smaller in diameter than a 215/45R17. Certainly not practical IMO

Thank you, yes it had come unseated, so the suspension inc. shocks all re-done.. can't believe someone that lowered it didn't already change these.. the 20's are run on 225/30/20R. Never had a problem with them until this pothole and if you saw it.. you'd know why! The original rims/tyres had been on the car since 2007 with great tread still.

225/30/20 isn't too bad. 8.7mm overall difference in diameter. Not ideal being unmatched size, but better than I thought.

Yeah it feels quite ok to drive, but it's as minimal as possible, to and from work. Finally got a tracking number & a direct answer off TNT and my rims should be on the car Monday if not Tuesday at the latest so then it will be fine

although 6 weeks is a long wait!

Giovanna Kilis Black/Machined Chrome and I'm going with 20's again.. they had to be specially drilled for the correct fitment, hence all the stuffing around..
