Brembo rear adapters.

After putting together a few brake kits and having to deal with Kartboy and KNS adapters that both need modifying to suit Brembo's and are not cheap, Ive decided to get my own made that are a direct bolt on.

Theyre machined out of 6061 aircraft grade alloy and are a direct bolt on fit for Brembo rears. They are supplied with the correct mounting bolts.

Best of all, theyre made locally for a fair whack less than the other overseas alternatives. I R & D'd these myself and had them made through a local engineering firm.

$150 to your door.

The finished product........ Button head, high tensile 10.9 zinc coated bolts for mounting the caliper. Fitted to my Gen4, straight on. :D

Im quite happy with them. Just one face not correct (needs 1mm off it) from the prototype I gave the engineering firm. Rectified this week.

I'll see how they go locally but likely advertise them on forums overseas in the future.....

They look fantastic. These will sell huge - it'd be amusing to see if Kartboy and KNS suddenly dropped prices in response if demand was big enough.

Now you just need to offer them in various bling colours and you'll have the market cornered. ;)

Cheers guys. The response overnight from various forums has taken me by suprise.

At that price they come as they are, not painted. The only time time would see them is if you get under the car. No part is visible through the wheel when fitted.

IMO anodized would be the best but would see the cost increase considerably. So considering you dont see them, Function and cost > form.

Really? I'd imagine there are a lot of people what have been hanging out for cheaper adapters (I looked high and low before grudgingly accepting paying $300 for my Kartboy's). It appears this is the limiting factor for many people, forcing many to upgrade the fronts only and leave the rear stock because they can't justify the expense, but $150 is much more affordable.

I found all the places I got qoutes from would do the kartboy adaptors for $200-$220 if I was to buy the adaptor rotors from them too. Have been waiting for Mark to finish these for a while, they are the last piece in my brembo package.

Same here and I didn't want the discs as part of the package, or I found them at a good price in the US for adapters alone, but then they wanted obscene shipping for them which made them close to, or exceed the cost from places like Tuspeed anyway.

In my case I'm choosing to use original STi rear discs rather than the adapted discs - I've found a mob in Sydney who are happy to add the required 10mm of meat to the stock handbrake shoes for about $60.
