I'm replacing my sway bars with whiteline ones and I'm having some difficulty removing the factory rear sway.

Going off the workshop manual all you have to do is remove the rear wheels, unbolt from the end links, unbolt from the mounts, remove the bushes and remove the sway.

Everything has gone to plan until removing the sway, I just cant seem to get it out.

It's probably hard to describe in words but can someone give me some advice on how to maneuver the bar to get it out?

I also have the tcp exhaust, which is fatter than the stock one so would that be causing my difficulties?
It seems like I might have to remove the mufflers to get it out.

Also, if anyone can foresee any similar issues when I get to the front one feel free to point those out too.

Sorry if this has been posted before but I couldn't find any walthroughs on here.

Drop the centre pipe down from it's hangar after the rear diff, and also your mufflers off their hangars. Or just unbolt if the hangars are on too tight for the mufflers. Use WD-40.

Cheers, I ended up getting it pretty much straight after I posted.

I just unbolted the mufflers from the centre pipe and left everything on the hangers and it came out pretty easily.
New one went in easy.

Aside from that little annoyance, it was a very easy DIY job.

After getting under the car the other day to inspect what work is required for swaybars, I think you may need to remove the crossmember under the engine & all the other usuals (mounts, endlinks etc)

Thanks, the workshop manual also says you need to remove the front cross member support plate too.

I didn't get time to do the front today though.
Hopefully I can get home from work early enough one day this week (it shouldn't take very long), otherwise it will be next weekend.
