What pads are you running in your brembo's?

Postby t.renshaw34 » Sun Mar 11, 2012 8:32 pm

Thought I would start of thred to see what pads everyone is running in their brembo's. Will help alot when it's brake pad shopping time.

I'm about to install Brembo F4 R2 with Project Mu HC Pads, DBA 4000 T3, Goodridge Braided lines. Crusin Rear dog bone adaptors. Hoping for some good results.

Type Z up front with Dixcel FC or FS (can’t remember which ones) heat treated DAV rotors.

Type M on the rear with Dixcel HS rotors.
Not a soobi anymore, but still slightly dirty

How did you find the Mu HC's? Did they squel much after warming them up?

I'm running Dixcel Type M Pads on Slotted SD Rotors, and I honestly have like 2% brake dust after almost 2 months of not washing the car. On stock pads and rotors my wheels would be dirty after a week...

Need new pads soon so this will be quite helpful, if people don't mind saying could you include what you paid for them as well? :D

QFM A1RM in gen 4

QFM HPX in other brembo liberty

Have used DS2500, DS3000, stock sti pads from 2010 and 2002, and EBC reds.

A1RM by far the best for price, DS2500 the best overall.

Ferodo DS2500 $359 F+R delivered from eBay seller ravspecoutlet

So far a real squeakfest  but might just need a little grease in there.

EBC reds previously. Found them to be not overly dusty and pulled up well even from cold. A tiny bit squealy intermittently when light pedal pressure applied.

I put a set of those Stoptech pads in a Brembo package for someone with 250kwatw+ and he's very happy with how they pull up.

I've now got Lucas TRW in the current set of Brembos but haven't driven the car since fitting. :D

IMO it all comes down to what you require from your setup.

I fitted Brembos to the wifes car as I just wanted the look, plain truth. So in my case I don't need a high performance set of pads as the car will never see any high performance driving.
