I knew where you were going with your question, but I didn't want to add that I've also cross checked this pump with the 4psi hot cold tyre pressure difference rule and hence I reckon that the 38f 36r at this servo is fine.
If I was to start the compressor each time I pumped the tyres, that early in the morning, the neighbors would hate me.
Also given the servo is less than 1.5kms and the car isn't even warmed up and the outside temp you'd hardly think the tyres or air within would have heated significantly to distort readings.
