I got a puncture on the weekend

And now I'm buying a whole new set of rubber.

Well my lease guys are :)

I've ordered at set of Potenza RE001s to replace the blue streaks that were on it when I bought it. They still have a bit of tread, but I have to replace 1 and can't bring myself to try and match them up. Along with that my spare is pretty close to rooted so might as well turf it.

I'm going with the 215/45/17 standard sizing and am looking forward to little less tire roll and a bit more grip.

Just had to share with everyone :D

Well I just picked it up and I think road noise is down, steering response if higher and grip is up too, couldn't be happier :)

I think they're great. Lotsa grip, not that much noise and nowhere near the prices I've seen for the RE050s. Of course I bought my GT second hand and it came with dodgy rubber so probably anything was going to feel great, but I am enjoying them.

Took them to driving course on Monday and between the lib and my new rubber I was the envy of everyone else there. Which was cool since I was just about the only one who wasn't being paid to go for work :)

Hope that helps.
