hey guys,
need some advice.
im in need of a new break set up as my brake pads are very close to being worn out. so im going to change the whole thing by getting new rotors and pads.
currently im thinking of getting DBA street series (slotted) + Dixcel front M pads.
do you guys think this is a ideal brake set up for a my06 3.0r-b, dont want anything overkill.

Sounds fine. I had DBA 4000 series slotted with Project-Mu Type NS and they served me well.

My only suggestion is once the fronts are bedded in and running fine, look at matching the rear pads as well.
I find that once I got the same pad in the back the car feels more balanced under hard braking.

Get plain, not slotted rotors.

I'll never go back to non-slotted. Deposits on the rotors caused vibrations. Went to slotted and problem gone. DBA4000 = WIN !!

libz, that setup will be fine. I have the discs you mention on the front of mine with HPC pads and have never, never found myself wanting any more despite a few really hard drives on the road. The track might be something different but I doubt it. I still have the original brakes on the rear of mine without any issues

HPC pads as in hawks ??? how are they with brake dust ???

HPS - Hawk performance ceramic pads are great. I had them on my Gen2 GT and did a few track days with them.

Those brakelines wont be ADR compliant here as they have no sheath over the braid.

Sorry for the late response. They do produce a bit of dust but I doubt it owuld be more than the stock pads. For reference, I have had this set of pads on the front of my car now for 80,000km and the buggers still have a decent bit of meat left in them. I can't believe how well they are lasting.
