Mag Wheel Repair- Brisbane

Hi team,

Done the old Google search and to no real avail- I've read on here that most panel shops should do a good job on repairing mags. I'm looking for more referrals of guys who have had work done somewhere in Brisbane and its been a good job.

Had 1 fixed by the dealer (bad idea) the mag had over spray and was a darker colour than the actual rim! So I need to fix that mistake along with repair of another.

So! Know a good mag wheel repairer'er?? :D

Depulu

He can be a grumpy prick, but his work is second to none.

Not sure if you've had this done yet but I was in search of rim repairers a little while back. I was searching for other options instead of having to drive down the coast.

Depulu Wheels are also located in Darra...

Also there is a mob down in Slacks Creek...

Depulu + heaps
Just had one of our STi charcoal rims repaired and a very good friend had his Honda rim repaired. Fabulous!!
Darra (next to Denmac Ford @ the Harcourt Rd overbridge) opens 6.30am to 3.00pm Mon-Thur & 2.00pm on Fri (website times are wrong).
Jade, from there, lives @ the Coast and takes the rims down daily for repairs. He takes off & puts the tyre back on and balances the rim.
My rim took 4 working days and cost $180.00. Sounds a lot, but I knew from a former very fastiduous boss of mine, that it would be top quality workmanship.

After my enquiries, I don't think $180 seems like a lot for a decent job. Especially for 18" rims. Around the $200 mark is common. (I'm not in Brisbane though)

sorry if slightly hijack the topic - Be aware from my previous experience, not all rims can be repaired as it could have hairline crack from the damage, they would fix it but inside the rim still could have hairline cracks as well. Thats fine if you get the rim repaired and keep that as spare tyre. My 2c worth.
Cheers
AP
