Hey guys, looking to Get some new rubber and can't work out the difference between the two pirelli P Zero tyres?
I have a few different options in rubber...

Pirelli p zero Rossa
Pirelli p zero Nero
Falken rt615
Nitto nt01

Running 18x8.5 wheels and also trying to think if I should run 235 or 245?

I had P Zero Nero's and they were dismal compared to the RE050a's.

Cant comment on the other Pirelli's.

Whats the wheel offset? Your going to have to do some other work to get either tyre to fit.

+45 I think, rota gravels 18x8.5. I don't mind what width tyre is required for them but I just thought it would either be 235 or 245.

235 and above is unroadworthy in SA on the Gen 4. 225 max but you'll have some tyre stretch.

Personally i would of just gone STi rims instead of a lower quality knock off.

I've got a set of Rossos 215/45 and they were running low on tread but hung on in the wet like nothing I have ever experienced before (not sure if this is mostly the liberty or the tyres) and I've Just bought a new set 225/45.
I cant comment on the others but I've heard the Neros arent as good as the Rossos.

However previously on my commodore I just put the cheapest nastiest rubber I could find, so I know very little about tyres.

Cheers mark . The un roadworthy bit doesn't bother me and my car is already defect able.

I wanted the sti wheels but the 18x7 size was a little small for my liking. Wanted some more meat on the road for my brake upgrade after putting the bigger turbo on.

Would 235 or 245 be a better fit for my 18x8.5?

Thanks , I've been liking the reviews on the rosso's, can get them at a good price for what they are .

Thinking rosso's as they are good, want the Nitto nt01's but I think they are a semi slick and I'm not quite that hardcore.

Whats a good going price for the (225/235/245) pzero rosso's these days?

I do rate the pzero rosso's... great turn in...like the cars on rails... but they are still a bit pricey at RRP.

I've got RE050A's on my car now... probably 30% left and they are starting to break a bit of traction when cornering hard... would you consider Goodyear Eagle F1's?... they won a few motor mag tyre tests lately.

After being quoted $500 and $350 per tyre from local tyre shops I was beginning to think I might have to opt for some cheapos to get me by, I ended up getting mine for less than $200 a tyre delivered. I got mine though ozzytyres they arrived the other day. Extra tip: if you leave the tyres in the shopping cart for a day they will send you an email with 5% discount.

Aus spec STi wheels are 18 x 7.5 +55 and you can get JDM ones (as I had) in 18 x 8 +48.

Your two tyre options are 235/40/18 or 245/35/18. Id reckon you'll struggle to fit the 245's but you never know til you try.

I run the Pirelli P Rossos and they are very sticky. I always feel confident wet or dry though they are quite loud. I'd recommend them.

235/40/18 on a Jdm sti rim 18x8 I would go for!

Hankook K110. Half the price, just as good.

Rosso's it is . I really wanted the 245/35/18 but ozzy tyres only does 245/40/18 and I don't want that much profile, so 235/40/18 it will be lol.

Main reason for getting new wheels is my cs9's don't clear brembo's.

Recently picked up P-Zero Rosso's in 225/40/18 for my 3.0 spec B.

All 4 fitted for $1k flat in Perth.

VERY happy with the feel of them (they replaced some shitbox Cooper's on the front and Kunho Ecsta's on the rear)
