Rear Camber Adjustment

Postby fatfrog02 » Thu Dec 01, 2011 6:37 pm

Does anyone know if there is any OEM Rear camber adjustment for MY07 LGT, BP5? Via a factory camber bolt?

Or is the Whiteline Camber Kit KCA399 the only way to get rear camber adjustment?

Thanks Tek, Kiks.

I have Rear Camber L-1.33 and R-1.55, toe both +0.9mm, after lowering approx 25mm on Swift springs and post alignment.
Doesn't sound like a great alignment to me, and the Shop said rear camber cannot be adjusted with out a kit.

I was leading more towards the Whiteline KCA399 Camber Kit more then the lateral arms, don't really need too much adjustment.
Was wondering if I should spend the money on the Camber Kit or just be happy with the set up as is?
Opinions would be helpful. Thanks.

Phat GT can source are number of rear chamber arms to suit all budgets, I got the Racing Ikyea arms with Kevlar lined joints, simple chamber adjustments using to spanners

The rear multi link causes toe in and negative camber as the suspension compresses. So if you have lowered it is good to reset the unladen camber and toe. I did the same it feels much more lively with -0.5 camber both sides and 0 toe

Sounds nice senator. From what I have seen, adjustable lateral are still more expensive then the camber kits, but also offering more adjustment.

tek, yeah I think you are right better to correcting the camber. Is the WL KCA399 kit 0.75 degree total adjustment or +/-0.75 degrees?

Some people on legacygt forum are saying that slight lowering without camber correction is fine. I would prefer rear camber to be in the -0.5 to -1.0 range, and set up correctly left/right, so I guess I will invest in a camber kit at some stage.

I am looking to set my rear camber at between -0.5 to -1.0 degrees. It is currently set at -1.3 and -1.5, can't remember which side was which.
