I'm looking at respraying some wheels and was wondering if anyone knows the colour code that is similar to the ones used on Rays and Works wheels. Would love to get something that is close to those.

Like these.

After a bit of net surfing it turns out Rays wheels are an anodized finish so there is no paint code for them, and there seems no paint code that I could find that was close either.

I did stumble onto another nice bronze colour though. BMW Sepang Bronze (paint code A32)
What do you guys think?

It's a nice colour, what are the wheels you're thinking of re-spraying?

Almost impossible to find a paint match for an anodized finished………. It’s not really the colour that’s hard to match it’s the actual finish/texture from the anodizing process.

But this colour has got to be best match I have seen….. I am guessing it must have are clear stain or matt finish sprayed over the colour.

I wonder how 07 JDM STI wheels would look in that colour??

Correct the guy said that it was finished with a satin clear.

Ok so I tried to get a auto places to make the colour (autobarn etc) but none of them had the formula for A32. I ended getting V&G paints in Girraween to do it.

If anyone is looking for this colour, the description of A32 is Sepang Silver Metallic. According to BMW it Sepang Bronze Metallic.

Just an update of how this turned out.

I sprayed a set of GT wheels and the colour was nothing short of being amazing. The finish without a clear was stunning, however I put a semi gloss over it to protect the paint. The final product was a very nice looking wheel that gives a good contrast and different from the boring silver.

BTW this set has now been sold.

Here's some pics, hope you guys like it.

I tried to get a satin clear but no one had any in stock so the semi gloss was the next best thing.
