Coilovers and +35 offset

Im planning on upgrading to coilovers in the next week or so.
Currently running 19x8.5 +35 offset, how low will I be able to get before I'd have to pull the guards out?
Is anyone running a similar set up? Currently the back guards are rolled and am intending on doing the front aswell, a finger width from the guard is my ideal height, might be a bit unrealistic....? ?

I don't know the answer but it would be good to know your tyre size as well because that will have an impact.

It'll also depend on what your spring rates for your coilovers are.

I suggest you roll all your guaurds anyways as a precaution, the last thing you want to do is hit a massive pot hole or dip and have your guards mangled because you couldnt be bothered doing it properly the first time.

What wheels do you have?

I'm pretty interested in this too as I just received new (used) wheels which are 19x8.5 and from what I can find out +35 but I'm going to find out for sure.
I'm on Tein S-Techs but will go to coilovers later when have some more spare monies.

So for anyone who knows about this do you also know the feasibility of fitting 245/35/19 with the +35 offset or is 235/35/19 a safer bet?

[EDIT] Due to my retardo rim measurement skills I now find out I actually have 7.5 +45 with 235s.

Tyre brand will play a part as well, when getting my tyres for 18x8+48 we found different 235/40 were actually different widths, some would clear, others would scrub…..end result was the Pirelli P-Zero Rossos where the best fit.

You need to also inspect the rear filler panel on the bottom corner of the rear doors, it’s the plastic panel which fills in the area between the rear quarter right down to the side skirt.

You will need some considerable amounts of rolling and pumping of the guards to fit 245’s, not to mention additional chamber.

My long term plan will be to fit 245/40r18 to the current 18x8+48, I have gotten the Cusco coilovers, rear racing Ikyea chamber arms…..just need time to find the right tyre and roll and pump the guards according.

What are the chances of 18x8 +43 with 235/40/18s fitting with stock billies and springs ?

Are the BR alot better then the M1 series?

I used to run BC BR's and thought they were awesome for the price. Plenty of EVO and honda guys run them with no issues. I'm now running KW V2's and have them pretty close to minimum height (with a little wiggling and shoving I can just fit my iphone under my side skirt)

I used to run 18x9 +35's but now running 18x9.5 +40.

Don't forget it's not all about the offset, it's a combination of offset and width of the rim.

Looks like I might get a set then. Are 8kg back 6kgfront spring rates the same as what your running?
So once I've got the front guards rolled I shouldnt have too much problem lowering it by about 30-40mm all round?

Thanks, once I've got my guards rolled and rim rash repaired I think I'll go for 235/35/19. For now at least

If I were you I would get harder springs in the front.. Only because I have BC's but even with a noticeable gap between tyre and guard I still smash the lip of my guard.. I'm running 18x7.5 +38 and going quick over bumps it the death of me haha

Anybody know if you can buy harder springs for BC's?
