Hi all,
Been doing some reading and it looks like the GenV only has a 16mm rear sway bar, can anyone confirm??? My birthday is coming up in a few days and as a present to myself for living another 12months I was thinking of upgrading to a Whiteline 20mm rear sway bar. Any thoughts? 20mm rear sway bar

Mods: (GT) HKS Panel Filter. The HKS I put in the MY10 is the same filter I took out of my MY05 GT. So yes, they do fit. Custom leather heel pad to minimise carpet wear in the drivers footwell. Slotted front rotors. (Sherpa) 14'' 6 Spoke mags, Chrome Gear Shift (sick!), Alloy Pedals (sicker!), new positive and negative battery terminals, Alpine cda-9827 H/U, JBL GT 6x9's boxed and mounted (sickest!), Kicker DS650.2 component speakers mounted in the footwells in flibreglass pods, Alpine MRP-F200 4 channel amp (4x40wRMS), Rebadged with hektik chrome eBay badges, STi stickers for more powaaaa, "leather" handbrake boot, recarpetted with grey/black car carpet from Bunnings, sick Clarke Rubber boot mat, polished and waxed.

I've just bought, but haven't fitted yet, a 22mm Whiteline adjustable bar. They make a 20mm fixed, but not a 22mm one.
I found them through ebay. They are called Online Performance Auto. Located in Hallam, Victoria. Cheapest I could find, by a long way.

HAHAHA! Yeah thanks. Living another 12months certainly is a call for celebration
I turned 28 but feel like I am in my mid 50's. 4 major back surgeries and 2 knee reconstructions will do that to you :LOL:Thanks for the info, would be very interested in hearing some feedback on the difference it makes.

I'm getting STi springs fitted at the same time, so wont be able to do back to back tests.
I've fitted a rear sway bar to my last three cars, and it's easily the best value for money mod you can do. IMO

Springs and sway bar are in.
Very happy with the results. Handling has improved and the ride quality has improved also. The springs lowered the car about 10mm, but will possibly sag to 15mm, in time. A good mod if you just want to improve the ride, and improve the appearance a little, but not be impractical.

Just wondering if anyone has fitted a front sway bar to their GenV Lib (or GenIV I suppose). I called a couple of places regarding installing the 24mm sway bar I bought through the group buy and I don't think that $300 is reasonable. Is there anything I should look out for while installing? Any tips or tricks I should know about?

This is why I only went with a rear one. Harder to do the front, so I knew it was going to cost.
They have to take some engine mount bolts out, I think, and they're normally very tight.
My last two cars, I haven't worried about. But, after putting the rear one in, I think it could actually do with a front.
Maybe later.
