Front Driver's side braking noise,Help please?
Hi guys,
Recently my drivers side front brake has started making a clunking noise and being a bit jolty/jumpy (almost like its sticking a bit..) when I either just apply the brake normally or pumping the brake results in quite a loud noise and the jolts get worse.
I had my local mechanic look at it and he couldn't find anything wrong or get it to make a noise. He apparently took that brake apart and checked over all the braking components.
So i took him for a drive and showed him and got it to do the noise straight away,so it was put over the pit.
Long story short,he said the bush is wearing out but still has some wear in it.but that when I brake its causing another part to move forward(lower control arm maybe? I'm unsure) and that thats where the noise is coming from.
My bushes tend to wear out alot, despite the fact i've been using urethane replacements after having to get new ones a few times.Which are suppose to be tougher? He said its because i have lowered suspension (king springs) and aftermarket wheels, and that until I change them back it will continue to wear.
I don't really think that this is the case, because there are too many people with aftermarket wheels and springs that don't have this problem.
So basically,what do I do?
-Keep replacing bushes about every 6-8 months?
Or is there an easy alternative?
Any Help appreciated guys.Thanks
