Sorry, took the pics, posted them, and then had to race off to my floorball game, just got back =)

Fronts: big 6pot calipers, 356mm, 32mm thick
Rears: 4pot calipers, 330mm, 24mm thick. (The backing plate had to come off).

Braided hoses + dot4 fluid. Brakes West did all the fitting work. UNFORTUNATELY, they forgot to take some pics while the car was on the hoist.

I've been going easy on them for the last couple of days, and I've only had to brake once under duress (cyclist rode out onto the road in front of me tonight), the car very nearly stopped from doing 70ish over a small distance.
See how they go when I hit Barbagello later this year =)

So, anyone want some spare liberty brakes?

I love how the fastening axis of the calipers is in a higher radial than the piston centers.

Good laugh. Please don't use these on the street where kids play etc, heaven forbid.

KiDo, have you carried out any FMEA on the calipar body??

for the not so technically minded/knowledgeable of us, do you mind explaining why this is a seemingly bad choice in caliper design in your opinion? just wondering,, always good to learn something new haha

Good question! I would like to know the answer and I am sure that many others in the brake component industry are also waiting for the answer! I know that AP Racing, Brembo, Wilwood and Stoptech and many others use a very similar design.

I understand FMEA has been done but I do not have any results.

i don't mean to come across as a keyboard warrior here or appear rude in any way...but surely being in the brake component industry you would have some idea of what kiks is talking about and why it could be an issue

thinking about it after i posted my initial question i managed to come up with an explanation...and all ive got behind me is 1/4 of an engineering degree and the infinite wisdom of a 19year old
