Went into Bob Jane to get 18" Top Gear 4's for my MY01 Lib. offet is about 44. The wheels were rubbing on the guards and making an awful noise (especially going over bumps and driveways) so i took them back as was told my rear suspension is shot. car has 184,000 with orignal suspension kit by the look of it, if i get a new stiffer rear set will they take to my car better? Also how much will it cost me to have these replaced?

184KKMs the dampers are definitely shot if they are originals.
Replace front/rear as a full set. Get some quotes I'd estimate standards to be around $500 for parts only (aftermarket). Not sure what upgraded ones are available for your car.

for a gen3 GX you could find dsome Bilstiens from a B4 or Legacy
check out import monster
Gen3 and gen4 both have multilink rear ends, but i'm not sure about the interchangability of the two

Cheers guys,
I did find some blinstiens for my03 plus but apparanly they won't fix an 01', wasn't given a reason why though.
Glad its the suspension though, i was dreading having to get smaller tires as the fat tires on it look pretty awesome

I don;t see why 03 Billies would not fit an 01
both are Gen3.

That was my argument, best just going local i think, at least it was an upgrade that was going to get done anyway so may as well get some decent ones in
