I just wondering.

My libs already travel with the new CV joints boot and new lower front rear arm control bushes for around 10-15K's KM.

But now it's split again and need a new one. CV joints is made recon last time and bushes is pedders made.

What does actually happened if it's very volatile? How do I fix it?

I was quoted the CV boot plus new bushes from cromwood is 500 dollars total.. Damn expensive

Get some proper rubber bushes from Japan (via Phat). Stay away from the urethane ones from Pedders.

He's selling his car so I imagine he'd want the cheapest option possible

In that case a bit of sticky tape should fix the torn boot straight up!

I'm going to the cromwood at the end. $500 already include labor and parts.

Got the original subaru.

So paying $500 is steep but it's better to get it done faster rather than I need to keep 2 cars.

Going back to overseas at this stage but we'll see if i'm coming back to OZ.

Depending on the design of the bushes they can split/wear prematurely if they are installed the wrong way around.

Just got the car back from the Cromwood autos.

They changed the CV boot kit and also oil.

Now the car smelling like burn from the engine compartment.

Can't see there is leaking or oil leaking or something.

What I can see is a grease from the CV boot.

Is the smell comes from the grease? Since the engine compartment is hot.

I do not know if they give an injector cleaner like [ITS-STI] sell.

There is no burning smell before I put the car to the workshop. It has been 2 days now.

It is highly likely they got some grease on the exhaust when taking the driveshaft out and didn't clean it up. Wipe it off with a rag, or if you have a high pressure cleaner spray it with that.
