So i was replacing my bent control arm the other day and found the new control arm i was putting in didn't have this bit that came off the side, so i cut it off the old one and welded it to the new, but i was curious what the arm is for, Tangcla wasn't sure of what it was either (user i bought the control arm off) as he doesn't have that arm on his Lib..

Yeah 3.0R, i can't see what it connects to, i didn't think to check when replacing the control arm.

does the car have brake force distribution/ stability control/ traction control, and all of those useless drive killing devices??
thinking it could be connected to a sensor or something regarding the stability control
or self-levelling headlights?

what's on the inside of the leftmost mount?
any sensors or is it just bolted in there?

It appears there may be a sensor or something clipped in behind it, i can't really tell though it's hard to get to and it's a bit crowded in there.

holy mary mother of speculation.
Its a sensor in the front and back to determine if the wheels are off the ground so you cant rev the tits off them in gear on a hoist. Will also depressure the brake lines on a single diagonal to avoid a total lockup on landing and enable ABS to work etc.
Most new suby's have em. Both on right hand side usually but its model dependent.
