Brembo Rear Caliper Q - what is this? Wear indiactor?

Just had brembos installed on my car the other day . Checked everything to make sure that there was no leaks, etc, etc.

One of my rear calipers is missing this metal clip thing as in the pics below. What is this? Is this the brake pad's wear indicator?

And is it possible that on the other caliper (the one that's missing this bit), this clip thing could be on the inside?

Thanks

I can't really tell, but isn't that just the pad retaining clip?

Correct.
From memory some brands of pads have these. You'll notice visually, that if the pad was worn down after months/years of driving that the little metal tab would touch the disc.
Indicating pad wear.

No, the retaining clips hold onto the pads, these ones don't. There's a bit of space betwen these clips and the pads.

Yes they work, asked just in case the clips broke off or something and is in one of the brake components ( caliper, drum, disk, etc.) waiting to cause issues. Just because something works doesn't mean there's no problem.
