I want to get mine aligned as I just fitted new tyres. The stupid machine at my preferred place doesnt list any Lib later than 2003. I have a soft copy of the Gen IV workshop mans, but it doesnt list a 2.5GT at all, only the 2.0gt and the 3.0R...Anybody know where I can find alignment specs for an 08 gtb please?

I dont have what you're after, but did your car get delivered with alignment setting from the dealer? Mine did.

These are a great starting point, then factor in your wear pattern on your last set of tyres and your driving style and what level of performance vs wear you desire, discuss with your preferred aligner should be able to set you up perfectly.

Problem is new tyres, and its now nearly 50k since last alignment. Alignment people need the specs to set it properly. Despite the fact there are no visible signs of tyre wear issues, I still want it done properly.

A decent alignment tech should ask what you want form the alignment and how/ where you drive (city/ highway/ combined) and do an alignment to suit.
regardless of the "factory" settings.

Frankly I dont have a problem with stock alignment - suits my driving style, has never given me any cause for unhappiness. 72k kms out of the original tyres speaks for itself some. And I knw the tech well, so i could ask for deviations if I wanted , and knew what i wanted. With the Mrs' MX5 for example, I know what changes could transform that, but she doesnt need it. Issue is the alignment machine my guy has is not up to date with Subie specs.

My Car was delivered with a printout of factory specifications and the actual settings on my car the day prior to delivery when they had it aligned locally. Thought this would be what you're after if your car was delivered the same way mine was - with the printout

Ah, understand now. Mine was new at docklands....and like this I would not have expected any docs of set up of anything. You would be normal to assume it was set up in every aspect to factory specs.

from working in a pre-delivery department of a major Jap manufacturer, you WOULD expect that the alignments were within factory specs.
sadly, many of them are far from ideal, some with one side of the car perfect, but the other out by miles.

and some tricks played by salesmen (after the PD dept have handed over the car to them),
who like to let the tyre pressures down a few psi for their older customers to soften the ride for them a little

Many years ago in UK their version of Choice for cars(Which Car) bought a batch of cars , different makes, and went to town. They checked every spec they could to find out what the quality was like - they found out of spec stuff everywhere - timing, plug gaps, alignment, pressures - pages and pages of issues.
very enlightening, and a worry....
