if I might just jump on the back end of this thread and ask 2 questions please?

1. If I understand it correctly, you wre running original suspension prior to the refresh and later state the car sits a little higher after the refresh, but the after pics seem to indicate a well low-slung stance. Can you clarify this for me please?

2. I note inthe 1st post, you were looking not to spend $5k + for your suspension. From what I can see, you gone a full suspension refresh there. Would it be too personal to ask an approx. final suspension/geo only cost please?

Hi Doc,

Sorry for the late reply due to the silly season..

The original setup I had were factory Blis with Tein S-Tech Springs. Nice drop in factory ride height however I didnt like the fact that they were too soft and that the boot looked as if it had 20 dead bodies in there.

The only way I could correct the two issues (Softness & ride height) were to move towards installing a full coilover kit. Reason why I chose Pedders ahead of all others is simple > If i had any issues, there is a retailer I can drive to.. The design is not so much different from existing made in Taiwan stuff.. Plus I get to support an Australian business.
After the install of the new coilovers, I kept the settings straight from the box. The rear was raised slightly and front were a little lower (10mm + & -).

I rather not quote the exact price I paid however I can tell you that it was much under $3K for all, including all my whiteline parts in which I could only wish I did earlier.

If you are based in Melbourne, Give Reade or Ben a call at Pedders South Melbourne. I have taken alot of their advises on board and have resulted in a happier ME. Coming from a Type R history, I love cars that can be thrown into 90 degree corners, my liberty is not far away from that with a good set of Semi Slicks...

I have opt to change the current front springs from 6KG to 10KG.. At $92 per spring, that is a good price. Reade even looked after the installation costs and a free wheel alignment..

Please be in mind whilst modifying a car is a great hobby, please always consider your suspension, brakes and tyres to be the first mods..

I have not known anyone that could drive their cars to 100% without the above..
