Jay showed me this link..did you get your golf coilovers fitted yet? I could be interested in a set. I would like to know how much you can lower the car using them

thanks Shane

My Golf kit will arrive in about 3 weeks. Will let you know once they're fitted.

If you have some details, I can pimp them over on the VW Watercooled site. :)

Thanks, but not yet Rob. I want surprise them at the next track day as my Golf looks 100% stock. Then the product will sell itself.

Owen took me for a short taxi test ride in the ShockWorks BL test car this morning.

The ShockWorks coilovers feel great already: it's a non jarring ride even on 235 40 18's.
Sharp edges at speed are just dealt with, as are tabletop speed bumps, as expected, the feel is a little syrupy, planted in feeling.

That takes care of the around-town and freeway, and they're only half done!

They're somewhat invisible in operation, which means they are already doing what they do very well.
Bringing the driver closer, more confidently to the handling.

How would you compare them to stock Spec.B suspension Ben?

I think we should wait till I organise a meetup next week with members who are currently using stock suspension to get their comparisons as BBB and I haven't driven on Bilsteins for years now.

Didn't you just have Justin's car for a week or two?

Motor magazine review of the Shockworks VF SS, most importantly is Warren Luff's comments in the orange box.

I sell them at $2000 because I have less overheads than GM Motorsport. They retail them at $2490.
