I would like the tein s techs but what is the product number i need??
other than that what else do people recommed?
keeping in mind i would like to lower it about 1.5 inches

regards, Luke

Hey Luke,

As like you, i've got the same ride. I've been looking for something that will compliment the bilsteins & like most ppl, I was concerend about the overall result & harshness.

I ended up ordering a set of Tein S-Techs with the PHAT man today. Should be here in a coupla weeks.

I wasn't too confident with local made stuff after hearing ppl's experiences with them. A set of Jap springs for the price of local ones, I know what i'm sticking with.

Which ones did you end up deciding on?

I have been in contact with Phat, but he has not replied to me.
I called eibach the other day and they said that they have a set of Eibach's for my model. But it will only drop it by 30mm (Pro-kit).
swingn, what Eibach's did you get?? Pro-kit or sportlines???

Ooops, typo. I ment to say 30mm.

Trust me it looks good. I'm running stock rims & it does make it sit at what I think is the perfect height.

honk honk, send a PM to blacknwhite. He's installed a set of Tein S.Tech springs on his MY07 GT Spec B. The S.Tech's go well with the Bilsteins.

His feedback was all praise. More settled ride. Braking and acceleration was improved. Yet ride comfort was still very comfortable (if not more so). But his Liberty now looks the part. More aggressive yet still classy. And all for half the price of the Euro brands.

I don't see the results will be any different for the 3.0

More feedback that supports what i've been hearing from others out there... Ride comfort being my main concern...apart from looking the part of course! :D

hey b-spec lib
i spoke with PHAT man today and also ordered the teins from him/ I was in the same situation. All the aussie brands i didnt have confidence in.

I think the teins will treat us well. So looking forward to getting them in 2 weeks. Where are you planning on getting yours fitted??

Good choice with the Teins mate & with everybody else's testimonials...we could hardly go wrong :)

I'll be going to I.S Motorsport for fitting when it arrives. I know they've fitted quite a few liberty's there...plus their service is reliable. They should charge approx $200 for fitting.

Once the new springs are on, we'll have to get a wheel alignment done also. Haven't decided on where I'm going to take it for that just yet...

If you have the money, I highly recommend front and rear sway bars to be installed at the same time. Not only do you get the look with the springs, but handling will be dramatically improved with the sways.

Sooryhavent seen this thread for a while
As Jim said ,absolutely rapt, car is lower about an inch so improves the looks but not so low to have issues clearance wise. Feels really planted on the road and still very comfy on stock rims.
Second what Jim says about the sways, I think the sways probably was the best handling mod you can make , sharper turn in , more precise
with both you will transform your cars handling,
as Nike says Do It!

So from an economical standpoint would you suggest sway bars would be first or springs?

It all depends on what you're after:

Springs
- Product costs less
- Costs more to install
- Lower and more aggressive appearance
- Slightly improved handling
- More settled ride and still comfortable

Sways
- Product costs more (total for front & rear)
- Costs less to install
- No effect on appearance
- Greatly improves handling
- No effect on ride or ride comfort

In terms of overall costs (including installation), the sways costs about $100 less.

But again, depends on whether your priority is handling or appearance. For me personally, I like my bling, so would definitely go the springs first.

Springs is an appearance change that effects how people see your car (positive). Whereas sways is more a personal thing, as no one would even know you have them unless they drive your car.

I think sways myself but as Jim said if its looks your after then springs
Mind you if you get both done together save a bit on the install
