Hi Guys,

As promised here are the latest pics of the modified guards. As you can see now, the fronts and rears are ready to be sanded, finished and sprayed. I am very happy with the result and shape of the guards. The car will be lowered again by another inch once paint work has been done!

Hi Guys,

Here are pics of the latest update. The body work is done now and the bare metal panels are now being sprayed with resin, that hardens like 2pac to seal the metal and protect it. The panels will be hand sanded to ensure they have a very smooth finish, no machines, belts or disc sanding here.

After the resin has been dried and sanded, then the undercoat will be applied and sanded again, finally the colour and then the clear coats will be applied.

You can see now the shape of the rear fenders and how GT Motors have kept the style of the rears in keeping with the front.

I now also have the custom billet ring inserts for XXR rims so that the STi OEM centre caps can sit flush inside the rims. I elected to buy new STi OEM centre caps, as the originals looked a bit worse for wear.

Well I am in the home straight...this will be week 5, and its taken longer than I thought. Having said that, when doing anything custom its a journey of discovery. The car is absolutely filthy....

The car has now been undercoated and ready for the colour and then clear coats. The guys at GT Motors have even spraying the front and rear bars completely as they thought the paint wasn't up to their standards. The car will practically have a new paint job at this rate.

Pictures below. Its hard to see in these photos but both front and rear guards came out an inch. The front and rear bars have also been widened....which is why they aren't on the car yet. Test fitting the bars....fitment and gaps are BETTER than OEM, the quality of their work is simply amazing. I doubt anyone will be able to tell that the car has been widen almost an inch front and rear.

I should have the car next week. YAY!

Well guys, I just picked up the car from GT Motors this afternoon. Here are some quick pictures in their yard. Excuse the quality of the photos there wasn't much natural light around to really show off the lines. The car looks FAT!! The tyre and rim combo are just awesome. The car looks very aggressive and squat, I absolutely love it! The guys at GT Motors did an amazing job! Every dent, nick and scratch has been removed in every panel and been fixed, sanded and resprayed. The only panel that hasn't had any paint applied is the roof, boot and bonnet.

As for the choice of tyres they have SO much grip and they are quieter than the OEM Bridgestones. I can't wait to push this tyre and rim package with the DMS Coils. :D

It has taken six weeks to the finished product a long time to go without a car, but well worth it in the end.

I will take more pictures of the car in some better light in more scenic surroundings.
